Roasted to complement all brewing methods, it offers a balanced profile reminiscent of candied orange and marzipan.
The Coffee
50% Ethiopia Mitiku Yabato – Natural :
In 2013, Mitiku planted high-quality coffee on his Bensa district farm. Initially, he sold his cherries locally, but prices didn’t match the coffee’s quality. After the 2018 change in Ethiopian exporting rules allowed smallholders to export directly, Mitiku secured his own license. With Mecota Trading’s help, he now gets better prices by exporting directly, bypassing larger companies.
50% Colombia Madremonte – Washed:
Madremonte coffee, named after a Colombian folklore figure, celebrates the women of Huila for their dedication to farming. Imported by Volcafe UK and Volcafe Verified, this coffee is sourced through a partnership with Carcafé, which ensures transparency, sustainability, and the empowerment of these women.
