The Coffee

The Red Bourbon coffee from Fazenda Irmãs Pereira in Carmo De Minas, Minas Gerais, has a rich history. Antonio Andrade Pereira Filho and Maria da Conceição Costa Pereira started the farm in the 1970s. Their daughters, Maria Valeria and Maria Rogéria, took over management by 2002, after their father’s retirement in 1996. Their husbands later joined them. After their father’s passing, the sisters renamed the farm from Serrado to Irmãs Pereira, signifying their bond. The natural, or dry, coffee processing method, a traditional approach in coffee production. This process involves drying the entire coffee cherry, allowing the fruit’s natural sugars and flavors to infuse the beans, resulting in a distinctively flavorful cup. Bourbon has an exceptionally high cup quality, with pronounced sweetness, complexity and silky body
