2026 Price Update

A Message to Our Community: Upholding Quality Amidst Historic Market Challenges

Hey Casa Coffee Family,

We wanted to reach out to you directly and transparently regarding a significant and historic challenge currently impacting the global coffee industry and, consequently, our operations here at Casa Coffee Roasters.

Our commitment is unwavering: to source and roast only the highest quality, ethically-sourced green coffee beans for all our offerings. These beans are the heart of the exceptional coffee you love, from our nuanced espresso blends to our comforting decaf options.

The Historic Surge in Green Coffee Costs

Recently, the global commodity market has experienced an unprecedented and dramatic surge.

In early 2025, Arabica coffee futures climbed to around $4.41 per pound, the highest price ever recorded. Simultaneously, Robusta futures surged to a near five-decade high.

These all-time highs have sent genuine shockwaves through the specialty coffee industry. This surge is driven by a complex mix of factors, including severe climate events (like frost and drought) in key growing regions, logistics bottlenecks, and increased production costs for our farming partners.

For a specialty coffee business like Casa, simply absorbing such increases is impossible. Our core mission is quality and ethical sourcing, which inherently involves paying premiums well above these volatile market rates. We are also continually investing more in sustainability and quality assurance, which are non-negotiable but also contribute to our rising operational costs.

What This Means for Our Blends, Decaf, and Subscriptions

Due to the extreme volatility and record prices of the raw materials that make up your favourite brews—particularly the high-grade Arabica beans used in our espresso blends, Charlestown & Union—we have made the difficult decision to implement a necessary price adjustment across all our espresso blends, decaf, and subscription tiers.

Specifically:

  • The cost of the Brazil beans used in our signature roasts have increased by more than 70%.
  • Our Decaf coffee has also been significantly impacted, with the cost of those specialized beans rising by 40% due to processing delays and increased shipping costs.

We understand that any price increase is unwelcome news, and we only implement this as a last resort.

  • When: The new pricing will take effect on January 5th.
  • Subscription Value: While the price of your subscription will adjust, we are committed to maintaining the exceptional value, convenience, and quality you rely on.

Why This Price Adjustment is Essential

This change allows us to continue delivering the quality you expect and uphold our fundamental commitments:

  1. Sourcing Excellence: It ensures we can continue to purchase the highest-grade specialty coffee required to maintain the precise flavour profiles and complexity of our signature blends and decaf options.
  2. Supporting Our Partners: It helps us pay fair and sustainable prices to our dedicated farmers, allowing them to cope with their own record-high production costs and continue investing in quality and ethical practices.
  3. Maintaining Our Craft: It supports our team and process—from expert roasting to meticulous quality control—ensuring the consistent, exceptional quality you expect from every bag of Casa Coffee.

Thank You

Your choice to buy from Casa Coffee Roasters directly supports the farmers we partner with and the craft of specialty coffee. You are choosing quality, ethics, and passion over the cheapest commodity option, and for that, we are eternally grateful.

If you have any questions about this update or your subscription, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team at any time.

Happy brewing!
